Do you need to see the bigger financial picture?

Last night, I had another one of my weird dreams.

In the dream I was an off-duty police officer walking through a building. As I was about to leave the building I saw a woman and a young man, who was apparently her son-in-law, coming towards each other whilst shouting at each other. And then, they started to fight.

At this point, I had a choice. I could have just carried on walking the other building and pretend I hadn't seen the fight, however, I didn't. I went over and intervened. I broke up the fight and told them both to come down before the situation escalated into something that they would regret.

Sometimes life is like my dream. Sometimes we need an intervention, possibly from an outsider, and hopefully before situations escalate out of control. Occasionally it does us all good to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

This is especially the case in our relationship with money. It is easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day struggle to pay bills, by the things that kids need to pay off our credit card debt. The truth is that our daily struggle with money, or the lack of it,is usually based on false beliefs. I call these false beliefs Money Pixies.

If you think that your finances could use an intervention, or if you are curious about how Money Pixies could be destroying your lifestyle head on over to helpme.gr8.com and sign up for my e-mail series on the topic.

What is the connection between your finances and a Lead Balloon? (hint: it's not what you think!)

One of my favourite things to do on a Saturday morning is to sit and watch Mythbusters whilst enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee. In one of the episodes that they were showing this Saturday two of the hosts, Adam and Jamie, were trying to disprove the adage'lead balloon' the premise that they were testing was that it was impossible to make a balloon out of lead that would actually float.
And for those of you who have never seen the show, Mythbusters is basically an excuse for mass destruction of inanimate objects whilst preferably forcing the hosts to face up to their phobias, and wherever possible using the largest guns they can find and copious amounts of C4. And all in the name of science.
Anyway, the thing that struck me about this particular episode is that an adage is a lot like a Money Pixie. The thing about adages is that they have been around so long that they are widely accepted to be true. Money Pixies are lies about money that we have been exposed to since before we were old enough to realize what was going on. They have now been repeated to us often enough and frequently enough that we accept them to be true without even considering whether that they are even our own beliefs and opinions.
Unlike an adage which is essentially harmless, Money Pixies are incredibly destructive and often can end up ruining lives.
To find out more about money pixies visit help1.gr8.com and sign up for my free e-mail series on the subject.
As for the Mythbusters did they manage to make a lead balloon? You bet they did. Adage busted!

Life lessons from cats

I love animals, but my favourites have to be cats.  Cats, especially house cats have an easy life.  I have two at the moment and they're both snoozing their heads of as I type.

Their attitude towards life and it's simple pleasures can teach us humans a lot.

My field of study is the human mind and I'm fascinated by all aspects of human behavior especially the power of our subconscious. It is my firm belief cats (and animals in general) can teach us a lot about enjoying the simple pleasures in life again.

I've just created a membership website www.catahollics.info/join for kitty lovers everywhere to gather and share pictures, stories and information about our feline friends. If you're a kitty lover then head on over there and sign up. I'm adding more articles and forums to the site in the coming days so all suggestions are welcome via the contact link on the site.

Also in my new email series I'll be looking at some of the dumb-arsed antics of my two lunatics and will be considering what lessons we can learn from these adorable creatures to help us humans live happier and more fulfilled lives.  If you'd like to get this series of amusing and inspiring emails just sign up here!

Sometimes we all need a little help

I had another one of those weird dreams last night.

I dreamed that I was going into an important meeting which was taking place in a huge office building which apparently I owned and all the people in it worked for me apart from a few visitors.  I dreamed that I pressed the button to call the lift to take me to the floor where the meeting was to be held.

When the lift arrived and the doors opened there was an old woman lying on the floor holding her wrist which was evidently causing her a lot of pain.  I was aware of other people behind me were wanting to get her out of the lift so that they could get to where they were going and I was already running late for my own meeting. The old lady didn't know how she'd ended up there, but she thought someone had pushed her.

I told the other people to 'go use one of the other lifts' and when they argued I pointed out that I owned the building and they worked for me and I was taking that lift out of service so they'd better do as I said. (bitch huh?) .  I then used a key to lock off the lift so that it wouldn't stop at any of the intermediate floors and went straight to the top floor which was apparently where the medical room was whilst placing a call to the medical staff to get them to come to the lift and tend to the old lady.

In the dream I stayed with her just long enough for the medical staff to arrive and take over caring for her before heading off to my meeting.

Life is a lot like my dream.  Sometimes we all need a little help.  The situation that we have gotten ourselves into might not even be our fault.  It maybe that we are in a position where we use our skills and knowledge to help someone out (like me knowing how to lock the lift off) or it may be that we need to call in someone else (the medical team) and make use of their expertise in dealing with the situation.

This is the essence of what I teach in my new 'Money Pixie Tamer' course.  Your attitude to money may not be your fault, it might be as a result of Money Pixies who have been living in your subconscious since you were a toddler, but they are part of you so it is your responsibility to do something about them.

I could have carried on to my meeting ignoring the old woman, instead I decided to help her and called in additional expertise (the medical team) when it reached the point where I could do no more.

Now you have a similar choice, you can carry on with your day and let your Money Pixies continue robbing you of the lifestyle that you deserve or you can hop on over to http://mpt.gr8.com and learn how to tame them.

Avoidance is the key to productivity

It's amazing how productive I can be when I'm avoiding writing a University essay.  It's not that I don't like my course, I find the human mind fascinating to read and write about.  When I actually get round to starting it  I'll be able to knock it out in an hour or so.  That's not the problem.

The problem is that my brain just doesn't like being told that it 'has' to do something.  Or settle on the same thing for to the exclusion others for very long.  So far today I've done the chores, written another chapter for my new book 'Money Pixies: What they are and how to tame them' have reviewed my adwords campaigns and re-written  a couple of my landing page. All before 4pm phew!

This is fairly normal for me on uni work days.  So much so that I'm thinking of writing a book with the title of this post 'Avoidance is the key to productivity'.  Revision time is coming up soon and then I'll be even better at avoiding what I'm suposed to be doing.  Maybe that's when I'll write the book on avoidance.

In the meantime if you'd like a copy of the 'Money Pixies' book you can do so by filling in this:

Get my copy!

Now I really had better go and start writing that darned essay so, until next time.

Margaret Thatcher a personal connection

Not many people know this about me, but my paternal grandfather was a manager at the plastics factory where the late Baroness Thatcher worked whilst she was a chemistry graduate. We have a family story that he once said of her 'You want to watch that one'.  I've never been able ask him about this or whether he liked her or not as he died when I was still very young.  However, one thing is clear: my grandfather recognised something in Maggie that made her stand out from the crowd.  Whether it was something about her aura or the way she acted I'll never know, but whatever it was it got his attention.

Start noticing people around you and for the positive traits within them.  Remember that there is a saying that 'whatever you see in someone else is a reflection of some aspect of you'. If you see negativity in others, you are merely recognising a negative aspect of your own energy. Start recognising the positive in others and you'll be reflecting the positive energy within within yourself.  As you start projecting this positive energy, the universe will respond and bring more positive things into your life.

If you need a boost of positive energy sign up for Abundance Insights, my new e-zine which will bring you further insights into attracting abundance and creating the lifestyle of your dreams.  Sign up now for free at ai.gr8.com the first issue is due out on Thursday so, I'd better finish this blog post here and put the finishing touches to it.

Until next time.

Not just about money

I often talk about success or abundance when I am coaching my students, writing articles for the CREATOR Club website and, of course, in this blog. However, what most people don't realise is that success and abundance don't just mean more money.

In fact you can have an abundant lifestyle with virtually no money in the bank at all.  How? You feel abundant.  In the West nearly all of us have far more than we need to survive and yet we always seem to want something better a new car, a new ipad/console, a new [fill in the blank].

It is my belief that in order to have a truly abundant lifestyle we should seek inner peace and happiness.  If we do this then the material becomes immaterial. True abundance is being genuinely happy and grateful for the things and people that we have in our lives right now.  Going after external objects that we desire in order to make us feel temporarily happy is crazy.  Be happy for who you are and be grateful for the many blessings that you have in your life.   If you attempt to create abundance whilst focusing on the lack of what you want you will fail.  Instead be happy for your old, clapped out car that just about gets you from a to b without breaking down.  Be truly thankful for it and then set the attention of attracting a better one.

As Dr Michael Beckwith (featured in The Secret) says "What we think about and thank about is what will materialise" be thankful, be happy and more blessings will flow towards you.

A day of rest?

All three of the world's big religons tell us that God rested on the 7th day and that we should have a day of rest on that day to honour the divine.  For Muslims it's Friday, for Jews it's Saturday and for Christians it's Sunday.  Unfortunately these days it seems that more and more of us are leading 24/7 lifestyles.  Most of us work for at least 5 days a week and in our 'off time' there's the kids hobbies, the dog to walk, the clubs we join, the gym to go to, the friends to socialise with, the [fill in the blank].

Our lives are a never ending cycle of needing to be there, be here, be on time, be running late, be supportive, be active etc, etc and if we're lucky, we might just have time to sit down for a quick glass of our favourite tipple before bed while watching some drivel on the TV.

To many of us the idea of a couple of hours to ourselves is  a pipe dream, never mind having a whole day to truly rest.

Here's my challenge to you today.  Take fifteen minutes, yes just one quarter of the 24 hours that you have today to tune out from the outside world.  Switch off the TV and the computer and just 'be'.  Don't think about anything in particular, just sit quitely (set a timer if you wish) and just experience the moment.  You can concentrate on the rythem of your breathing if you find that your mind wants to think of things that you should be doing. Whatever works for you.  But just being for a short period can be an amazingly refreshing experience.

By the way, there are still some places left on our introductory course starting tomorrow, so book now at csc.gr8.com or join the CREATOR success club at creatorsuccesclub.com

You and the universe are one!

I'm currently watching a documentary on King Arthur, partly because myths and legends fascinate me and partly because I'm bored and can't be bothered to change the channel.  Whilst watching it I was reminded of the Warner Brother's film 'Excalibur' which is my favorite King Arthur related film of all time.

Towards the end of the film when the holy grail is finally found to Arthur, he is reminded of a great secret that has been lost: that he and the land are one.  Once he is reminded of this, he is rejuvenated and the land along with him.

Achieving success through the CREATOR success program is not unlike the above story.  Once you realise that you and the Divine are one (or you and the Universe if you prefer) and you fully engage with the truth that through the Divine power and your subconscious mind, your life will undergo a process of rejuvenation and as you begin to transform your self, then your view of the world and the very things and people around you will begin to sing your new song with you.

To find out more, why not sign up for our FREE introductory course starting on Monday 8th April? There are still couple of places left. You can book now at csc.gr8.com.  Don't forget that you can find the CREATOR Success club on Facebook and follow @thecreatorclub on twitter.

Until next time.

When is the right time for change?

"If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got"

The above sentence is one of my favourite quotes, however, as I point out to readers in my new book (which I'm still in the process of writing) it doesn't tell us the whole story.

Firstly, many of us waste time waiting for the right moment to instigate changes in my life. For example we might wait until New Year's Eve, or next birthday, or the beginning of next month or worse, we might be 'waiting for the time to be right'. The truth is that next month never comes and at times never just right so we keep doing the same thing and getting the same results.

As a success mentor, I tell my students about the theory of mindfulness which is sometimes also referred to, by new thought authors, as 'the power of now' all living in the moment. Whilst I go into mindfulness in more detail in the new book and through my coaching site www.creatorsuccessclub.com I thought it was useful to mention it here.

Mindfulness teaches us to do what we can to the present moment the full, forgetting about the past as we can do nothing about it and not worrying about the future, but living each moment and making the most of the now.

To learn more of my CREATOR success program why not take the first step towards making changes in your life can sign up for the next cohort of a free e-course? Creator success program e-course free places available now

Today I began writing the book that will describe in detail the CREATOR success program.  Compiling one's thoughts on paper or in a word processor has a wonderful way of bringing clarity and purpose to them I find.  That's one of the reasons for this blog to be fair, its as much for my benefit as for the benefit of any readers although I do hope that you gain something from reading it.

I have also decided to offer a short e-course delivered as a series of 10 emails over the space of about two weeks to provide a brief overview of the program and how you can use it to transform any and all aspects of your life for the better.

Hopefully this short course will enable you to gain enough of an overview to decide whether the program is for you or not whilst I work away on the book, which should hopefully be available for purchase later this summer. So whilst I write chapter two C is for Change why not take a step towards making a change in your life now by signing up for the course.  By the way did I mention that its strictly limited to 10  places this time round oh and it's FREE.  That's right, it won't cost you a penny and, if you like what you learn then there's always the club which you can join while you're waiting for the book to come out.

Signup for the free e-course now at info.creatorsuccessclub.com now before all the free places are gone.

Give and it shall be given unto you ...

I was totally inspired this morning by a new item broadcast by the BBC on their news channel.  The story  was about a parish Church that needed funds for refurbishment.

Instead of doing what most Churches and organisations would have done and appealed for donations or held fundraisers the Vicar gave his congregation £10 each of his own money (totaling around £500) and told them to invest it in fundraising ventures for the Church.  To cut a long story short (a story which is still unfolding) the congregation came up with a variety of craft activities and other ways that they could each individually help turn that £10 into a micro-enterprise that would raise funds for the Church.  The building now has had some of the refurbishment work done and the funds are still coming in.

Clearly this man knew the secret to attracting the success that his fundraising efforts needed.  He was willing to change his behaviors (giving his own own money out instead of asking for donations) and expected and sincerely believed that the money he had given would come back multiplied many times by the Divine energy that makes all things possible.  By transmuting this belief to his parishioners he was able to help them have mini successes each which in turn led to the massive success of the overall fundraising venture.

This is the essence of the principle behind the CREATOR success club.  I have created a supportive club environment because I  sincerely believe that anyone can succeed in anything that they put their mind to if they use the methods suggested in the program.  By working towards each other's mutual small successes and giving each other support and encouragement we can transmute the Divine energy and multiply it many times over.  Each step we take towards helping someone else succeed will be returned to us many times over and transmuted into our own success both individually and collectively.

Come join the club and let's start working towards your success today!

When I created the CREATOR success program and the club website for its followers I wanted to create a program of techniques that could be used to transform any aspect of a member's life.

Many success programs just focus on business aspects and how to make/attract money from this or that product or theorem. However, with the CREATOR program you can easily apply the principles to your social life, your relationships, a hobby that you are working on and in fact any and all aspects of your life.

Indeed I encourage you to do so.  When I mentor members of the club  I actively encourage that they look at the process as a whole life experience program rather than just a means to one pre-defined end.  After all when you start to live in the magic of life and re-connect with the Divine energy why should you be restrained by the pre-conceptions that you held before you started the program?

None of the methods I teach to members of the club are new, most have been around for a while, perhaps for centuries, however, the way that I have combined the practices of different ways of thinking into a collaborative and mutually sportive club is what makes the CREATOR Success Program unique.

With membership starting from just £5 per month (less than the price of a couple of Starbucks coffees) what have you got to loose?

So if you're ready to transform your life in 2013 come join the club now!

What? Love the coffee machine?

Many of us will be heading back into work tomorrow after the long weekend. Perhaps some of you will still have sometime off, but you and those of you who are not in paid work for whatever reason can all join in this exercise.

This is a great way to begin the working week feeling positive and whether you enjoy what you do or not I guarantee you'll feel a difference if you give it a whirl.

The task is simple. For a day, a half-day or even just an hour I want you to send love to everyone and everything around you. No I don't mean that you have to go all huggy kissy and getting up close and personal with everyone, you can just say the words 'I love you' quietly in your head to whatever object, situation or person is in your conscious awareness at the time.

Say 'I love you' to the alarm clock as it wakes you up, to the kettle as you make your morning cuppa, to the family pet as you feed it, to the car as you drive to work, to the receptionist in your office, to your colleagues, to your desk and your chair the list goes on. You don't have to mean it , but as you're saying it in your head try to do so with feeling. You'll feel the positive energy starting to build in and around you and if you can't find anything to love say 'I love you' to the divine and of course don't forget to say it to yourself!

This is just one of the techniques I teach as part of the CREATOR Success Program, but it's also one of my favourites. Give it a go & start spreading the love wherever you go tomorrow. Then, when you get home jump on to http://csc.wildapricot.org and join the club where you can share the love with the other members online.

Let's start a hash tag #sharethelove on twitter and see if we can get it trending by the end of the day!

Until next time & I love you!

Heather

Why I use the term 'the Divine'

When I am writing or speaking about the CREATOR success program you'll often hear me use the term 'the Divine' when I could have used the name Jesus, God, Allah, the term 'universal energy' or any number of other words that we humans have to describe that being or source of energy that we recognise as being higher than our elves or the higher version of ourselves.

My reason for using the term 'the Divine' instead of any of these other terms is because the CREATOR Success Club and the program that its members follow are open to anyone around the world, regardless of race, colour or creed. So I encourage you to substitute the term in your own mind with whatever best suits your culture and beliefs.

Whether you call it God, your higher self, your spirit guide, a particular Saint or any other term isn't important. What is important is that using the steps in the Creator Success Program to connect with this universal source of pure love and positive energy is an essential step enabling you to bring yourself and the universe into alignment so that the success and abundance that you deserve can flow into your life.

Come join the club now! http://csc.wildapricot.org
